Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support. We help families with children under five with practical and confidential support.
Welcome to Home-Start Ards, Comber & Peninsula Area
Home-Start Ards, Comber & Peninsula Area is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. We’re there for parents when they need us the most, because childhood can’t wait.
We recruit and train volunteers to visit families at home where they can offer informal, friendly and confidential support. We also offer a Family Group and a Respite Play Group which provide parents with a wide range of activities and external support. The Scheme delivers parenting programmes from time to time when there is a need identified and funding is obtained.
In addition to this we have two Charity Shops in Newtownards and Comber.
